Walter Hanley

Senior Agent Walter Hanley

Formerly a Senior Orpheus Agent and supervisor for new recruits. Hanley was always a superb supervisor, with a talent for mediating difficulties between Agents and the occasionally abrasive policies of upper management. During the incident at Elsevier Heights School for Gifted Students, he personally led an unauthorized mission to rescue trapped Agents when the Board of Directors refused to send backup.

Hanley's tenure was marked by several periods of conflict and difficulty. Shortly after the Elsevier incident, he was abducted by a cult of pigment-users and injected with a massive overdose of the drug. When Orpheus Group underwent a radical management restructuring, Hanley was removed from his position and placed in an administrative role, due to his loyalty to Kate Hennisson. Hanley was instrumental to the counter-coup against Tad Eccles, but was captured at a key moment and had to be rescued from Orpheus Group's holding cells by his own fellow Agents.

Hanley was killed in the destruction of Orpheus Group, when he attempted to stop Matthew Podlowski from detonating a bomb inside the building. His ghost now resides in the Our Lady of Fate Polio Ward in St. Joseph of Arimathea Hospital. His spirit was crippled by his massive intake of pigment, leaving him incapable of rational thought, mindlessly repeating his panicked behavior during the last moments of his life. Eventually, Agent Watts and Sam Reid helped him to ascend beyond this plane by infusing him with vitality.
