Terrence Greene was a a small-time hood who was convicted and sentenced to death in 1997 for fatally shooting a police officer. One year later, he took part in a clandestine government experiment and died in the fire that subsequently raged through the D-Block of Conquin State Prison 1998.
After his death, his ghost holed up in a storage room in a sub-basement beneath D-Block. He discovered an old ham radio set there, and after a while began making furtive broadcasts to the outside world using the call sign "Radio Free Death." Greene was able to selectively pinpoint specific devices to receive his transmissions, and often used his abilities to contact Orpheus Agents and aid them in their missions.
After providing critical aid to several Agents following the destruction of Orpheus Group, Greene asked for their help in breaking him out of his prison hiding place, which was by this time surrounded by a massive spectre hive. A team of Orpheus Agents successfully rescued him, but not without releasing a massive wave of spectres into the prison and surrounding area.
