Sister Magrathea is a 90-year-old woman living in a tiny, nameless convent in the mountains of Bolivia. Several years ago, before she joined Orpheus Group, Agent Emma MacMillian visited this convent as part of her missionary work in South America; when she ran afoul of a local drug cartel, the sisters hid her, and then helped her escape back to the States.
When several Orpheus Agents traveled to Bolivia to take down a secret Terrel & Squib laboratory, Emma and Sister Magrathea were reunited when several of the sisters came to the Agents' aid. The women of the convent helped the Agents rest and recuperate and showed them a secret way to the laboratory through the jungle, but did not participate in the raid itself.
Although not a projector, Magrathea and several other devotees of her order are members of an ancient cult called the Benandanti. She is able to see into the spirit realm, and can project her spirit for short periods of time. She wields a staff embedded with fennel seeds, similar to the one taken from Holwood Angler after he was killed in an altercation with Orpheus Agents, with which she can affect spirits in a variety of ways, including forcing skimmers to ripcord back to their bodies. Magrathea claims that she and her sisters are the last surviving members of this cult, and that they will die when they are no longer needed. She maintains that this will be, on balance a happy event.
