Raynham Sports Arena

Raynham Sports ArenaThe Raynham Sports Arena, located south of downtown, was built in 1991 in order to alleviate traffic congestion during local sports events and stimulate the economy in one of the more depressed sectors of the City. It is named after Henry Raynham, Jr., a land developer and philanthropist who provided the majority of the funding for the project. It doubles as a venue for large music shows, and has recently hosted such notable acts as U2, Moby, and Jonestown Jaine.

Although there have been no credible reports of hauntings in the arena itself, it does have its share of gruesome history. The land on which the arena now stands once contained one of the City's oldest graveyards, and there were many irregularities in the land's sale and in the handling and relocation of the graves. The district attorney's investigation into the transaction has been stalled for several years now, despite numerous claims that not all of the bodies have been accounted for.
