Malcolm Hyde

Convicted murderer Malcolm Hyde In October of 1988, Malcolm Hyde knocked on the door of an Eastside ice cream shop just a few minutes after closing time. He convinced the two female employees, both of them students at nearby Lincoln High School, to serve him one last cone before locking the doors. The girls agreed, and let him in. Hyde then attacked both girls and quickly overpowered them. He tied them both up in the back room, locked the front doors, and spent the next 10 hours methodically torturing the girls to death.

Hyde was quickly apprehended and sentenced to death, but his sentence was never carried out. He took part in a clandestine government experiment and died in the fire that subsequently raged through the D-Block of Conquin State Prison in 1998.

Malcolm Hyde's ghost was first encountered by Orpheus at the Elsevier Heights School for Gifted Students, during an investigation gone horribly wrong. After the destruction of Orpheus Group, Hyde took to hunting down renegade Orpheus employees, possibly on the orders of Bishop. He took particular delight in puppeteering one person in a group and slaughtering the rest. Hyde was finally destroyed by Orpheus Agents when he tried to trap a large group of them in the abandoned Autumnville Mall.
