Director of Field Operations for Orpheus Group. Though unswervingly loyal to the company, Hennisson often came into conflict with the Board of Directors over their policies on Agent safety and support in the field. She was fired from Orpheus Group for attempting to rescue Agent Angela Delafont without authorization or backup. She was replaced by Tad Eccles.
Hennisson laid low for much of the following year, but managed to plan and execute a counter-coup against Eccles with the help of a small group of loyal Agents. Hennisson leveraged several concessions from the original Board of Directors in return for her help in returning them to power, and is attempting to implement a new management style of greater disclosure and Agent support.
Before working for Orpheus, Kate Hennisson was a defense attorney, specializing in clients with close mafia connections. She was disbarred for sleeping with just such a client, to whom she had also been supplying cocaine. Hennisson's drug use increased sharply after she lost her job, and her near-death experience was caused by a cocaine overdose.
Hennisson survived the destruction of Orpheus Group, but was greivously injured. She lost her right hand and right eye, and spent several weeks in a coma in the Our Lady of Fate Polio Ward in St. Joseph of Arimathea Hospital. After she awoke, she was confined to a wheelchair and left the day-to-day operation of the remnants of Orpheus Group to others.
When the remnants of Orpheus Group decided to enter the true underworld to eliminate the plague of spectres at its source, Hennisson volunteered to accompany the team. Although her body is crippled, her projected form is as strong as ever.
