Holland Lane is a long-time Agent who was relegated to desk duties during the Tad Eccles administration due to questions regarding his loyalty to the company. When the original Board of Directors regained control of Orpheus Group, Lane was placed back on active status, and has since proved to be an Agent of rare diligence and efficiency.
Lane's real name is Declan Boyle. He is the illegitimate son of Senator Richard Boyle, sent to live with a relative of his mother at a young age. His guardian was an abusive redneck who only cared about the trust fund that Boyle stood to inherit, and who would frequently lock Declan in the pantry for days on end while he went out gambling.
During one of these gambling trips, Declan was mauled by a bear that strayed into their remote cabin and broke into the pantry looking for food. He survived the attack and developed the ability to project. While exploring his new abilities, he befriended the ghost of a child named Holland Lane, who had become lost in the nearby woods and died of exposure a year earlier. Eventually, Declan used his powers to escape from his guardian, and assumed Holland Lane's identity. He maintained this deception up to the present, when recent events brought them to light.
Agent Holland Lane is a skimmer-class projector. He is trained in the Beckon, Intimate, Poltergeist, Pandemonium, Flux, Phantasm, Dreamscape, and Puppetry emanations. He possesses a spite stain that manifests as a bizarre, floating fetus that emerges from his skull and floats at the end of an umbilical-like tether.
