Jhanka'ar TendwaJhanka'ar was born in the deepest jungles of the Mwangi expanse. With his human father and elven mother both self-exiled from their respective tribes, both battling inner demons that threatened to consume them, Jhanka'ar grew up hunting the demon-worshipping apes of Usaro and struggling to contain his own inner darkness. When slavers took his mother, Jhanka'ar followed them east, to the city of Katapesh, where he found that the slaver's compound was far too well gaurded for one man to infiltrate. By chance, he stumbled upon the halfling bard Morgiana, who was also working on a plan to ruin the slavemaster. With Morgiana's help, Jhanka'ar was able to enter the slavemaster's compound and locate his mother. She was injured and sick, but before she died she told him something of his legacy. His mother had belonged to an ancient tribe dedicated to protecting the world from certain powerful demons. One of these demons was named "the Firebleeder," and it was located in Katapesh, in a place called the Pale Mountain. |
